ReVive Skincare Ingredients – The Evidence

Glycolic Acid
Glycolic acid is an alpha hydroxyl acid used in many cosmetic and skincare products. Glycolic acid helps fade hyperpigmentation, clear acne, reduce the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines, and reduce skin dryness. The acid is also used as a peeling agent to help exfoliate dead skin cells to improve skin texture.

A clinical study in the National Library of Medicine reveals that topical application of glycolic acid helps reduce hyperpigmentation and improve skin tone and texture.

Squalane
Our skin cells naturally produce squalane oil, but the amount decreases with age. Most ReVive skincare products contain squalane. The oil helps reduce the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines, hydrate the skin, soothe skin irritation, regulate oil production, and fade dark spots.

Squalane also helps fight free radicals that may damage skin cells. According to the Molecules journal, is an antioxidant that helps prevent damage by free radicals and hydrate the skin.

Sodium Hyaluronate
Sodium hyaluronate is extracted from hyaluronic acid. Sodium hyaluronate has been proven to hydrate and moisturize the skin, fight any signs of aging, smoothen wrinkles, reduce skin inflammation, and enhance wound healing. Sodium hyaluronate also helps reduce puffiness and dark circles around the eye area.

In a placebo-controlled, double-blind study in the Journal of Cosmetic Dermatology, 40 elderly women were given hyaluronic acid for some weeks. Results showed improvements in skin texture and plumpness.

Jojoba Seed Oil
Jojoba oil is useful in many skincare routines. Jojoba oil helps keep the skin hydrated, promotes collagen synthesis, reduces inflammation, reduces oxidative stress, controls oil production, and soothes irritated skin.
