How Does It Work? | The Science Behind Brain Armor

Omega 3 fatty acids are important in brain development, in particular DHA and EPA. They help preserve and protect cell membranes and are key in cell-to cell-communication. In addition, they may slow the progress of neurodegenerative conditions like Alzheimer’s disease and promote optimal brain functioning.

Brain Armor contains MCT, which converts into ketones in the body. They may help burn fat and lead to weight loss. However, it also increases glucose metabolism in the brain, leading to improved cognitive functioning. A review in Mechanisms of Aging and Development discussed the potential of MCT in the treatment of Alzheimer’s disease (6).

Many of the ingredients in these products are rich in antioxidants. They destroy damaging free radicals and lower oxidative stress, which can repair damage to the brain and strengthen the immune system.

Ingredients like omega 3s and Vitamin E are high in anti-inflammatory properties, which can decrease swelling in the brain. An article in the Journal of Neurochemistry discussed the problem of brain neuroinflammation (7).

Brain Armor Ingredients – What to Look For?

These are some of the primary active ingredients in Brain Armor products:

MCT – These are medium-chain triglycerides, which include a complex of dietary fats. They convert into ketones in the body, which can help with weight loss and increase cerebral glucose metabolism and brain energy metabolism (1).

A study in Physiology and Behavior concluded that MCT enhanced cognitive performance in young adults (2).

Omega 3 Fatty Acids – These are rich nutrients that support the brain and the body, and they have numerous health benefits. They may prevent brain neurodegenerative disorders like Alzheimer’s, as well as protect the cerebral cortex from harm (3).

A review in Frontiers in Aging Neuroscience examined the long-chain omega-3 fatty acids and their effects in the brain.

Probiotics and Prebiotics – Probiotics are good bacteria that proliferate in the digestive tract, killing bad microorganisms and promoting balance. Prebiotics feed the probiotics, leading to a healthy, balanced microbiota. This promotes overall digestive wellness, like regular bowel movements and a decrease in symptoms like gas and diarrhea (4).

A review in the Journal of Food Science and Technology discussed the characteristics and benefits of prebiotics and probiotics on gut health (5).

Brain Armor provides more energy & leaves no aftertaste

I bought Brain Armor Omega-3 since I was having the problem of brain fog. I wanted an all-in-one supplement, instead of having to use MCT oil along with others supplements. After using it, I noticed more energy throughout the day. I’m picky about the taste of liquid vitamins/medicines mostly, but Brain Armor liquid left no aftertaste. I will buy more Brain Armor products in the future.
