How Does It Work? | The Science Behind ProVent Skin Tag Remover

The ingredients in ProVent Skin Tag Remover oil and patches are 100% natural essential oils which have numerous benefits for the skin. They have antiseptic benefits, so they slow the growth of harmful pathogens to help prevent infection.

ProVent Skin Tag Remover also has antimicrobial and antifungal benefits, meaning that it destroys microbes and bacteria on the skin, and may help with healing.

An article by Jürgen Schauber, MD and Richard L. Gallo, MD, PhD published in the Journal of Allergy and Clinical Immunology discussed the connection between antimicrobial peptides and the skin’s defense system [1].

These products provide deep hydration, which eliminates dry skin and also plumps the surface to helps smooth the tags. Some ingredients boost levels of collagen and elastin in the skin, which tightens, improves elasticity, and further smooths so the tags may appear less prominent.

A review in the Journal of Cosmetic Dermatology by María Isabela Avila Rodríguez , et al discussed the sources and cosmetic application of collagen [2].

The formula is high in free-radical destroying antioxidants which lower levels of oxidative stress, promoting repair of the skin barrier and protecting from environmental agents like UV rays which could cause further harm.

An article published in the Brazilian Society of Dermatology Journal by Flavia Alvim Sant’anna Addor discussed antioxidants in the field of dermatology [3].

ProVent Skin Tag Remover also has anti-inflammatory agents which, as we explained in our review of the SkinCeuticals brand, lessen swelling and redness on the skin and could help to heal and associated skin conditions.

ProVent Skin Tag Remover Ingredients – What to Look For?

Some of primary active ingredients include:

Vitamin E– This powerful nutrient is high in free radical destroying antioxidants, as we mentioned in our review of Palmer’s Cocoa Butter. It may repair damage to the skin barrier, protect from environmental agents like UV rays, and decrease inflammation.

It could also boost levels of collagen and elastin for tighter, more elastin skin which is smoother of lines, tags, wrinkles, and scars. A review in the Journal of Molecular Medicine by F Nachbar and, H C Korting examined the key role Vitamin E plays in both normal and damaged skin [4].

Tea Tree Oil – This plant oil is very high in anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial, and antioxidant benefits. It could repair damage to the skin, heal, decrease swelling and redness, kill microbes and bacteria, and protect from environmental harm.

A review published in Clinical Microbiology Reviews by C. F. CarsonK. A. Hammer, and T. V. Riley reviewed the antimicrobial and other properties of tea tree oil [5].

Castor Oil – This is the rich hydrating oil which comes from the castor bean, and it could help to plump the skin to smooth the surface and eliminate dryness.

Castor oil also improves collagen synthesis for a tighter, smoother surface and a possible improvement in the appearance of skin tags and other abrasions. An article in JAMA Network by L. Duncan Bulkley, A.M., M.D. discussed the use of castor oil for treating skin disease in children [6].

ProVent Skin Tag Remover – Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Q: Does ProVent Skin Tag Remover Really Work?

A: The ingredients should work to hydrate and condition the skin, and plump to smooth the tags somewhat. They could also boost collagen to tighten the skin, improving its appearance.

However, there is nothing powerful enough included which would remove skin tags – at least not quickly. It’s clear from the ProVent Skin Tag Remover reviews that the product worked for some people, but for many it did not.

Q: What is Provent Skin Tag Remover Return Policy?

A: The company has a 30-day return policy on all of their products. If you are not happy with ProVent Skin Tag Remover, contact customer service for instructions. Then send back the order within 30 days of the purchase date. You’ll get a refund, but the customer pays the shipping and handling costs as well as a 15% restocking fee.

Q: What Sets It Apart From the Competition?

A: ProVent Skin Tag Remover uses essential oils to improve the appearance of skin tags, which is somewhat unique, although unlikely to be effective at actually removing the tags. The low price is what really sets this brand apart, as most tag removers cost a fair bit more.

Q: How to Use ProVent Skin Tag Remover?

A: The ProVent Skin Tag Remover instructions are as follows:

ProVent Skin Tag Oil: Apply to the affected area three times per day.

ProVent Skin Tag Patches: Place the patch directly over the skin tag. The solution will transfer for up to 12 hours. Do not use more than three patches in any 24-hour period.

Note – Results will vary dependent on skin type and may take several weeks.

I'm really disappointed with Provent Skin Tag Remover.

Provent Skin Tag Remover didn’t help me at all. Instead of removing skin tags, it burned my skin. I am really disappointed that my money has been wasted.
