People with sensitive know how unpleasant all the rashes, breakouts, drying as well as cracking, itching and burning is. For most people sensitive skin refers to a reaction to irritants, like harsh detergents, alcohol, acidic skin care products, besides makeup removers, perfumes as well as other chemicals. Often, finding the source of the reaction and removing it is enough to take care of the sensitive skin. There are some other steps too that can help.
Wash twice a day with the help of an alcohol-free, soap-free, moisturizing cleanser containing no preservatives, fragrances, colours or any kind of unnecessary ingredients. In case you can find no such product, try to get one which has as few of these ingredients as possible. Look for the label “hypoallergenic” while choosing the skin care products. Toners are generally loaded with alcohol or other irritants, hence, avoid them. Also avoid makeup as well as makeup removers. In case you must use make up, such as cleansers, look for the hypoallergenic versions. Instead of using makeup removers to remove the makeup, try using a very small amount of olive oil or mineral oil in order to help get it off. If you wish to moisturize, use a hypoallergenic moisturizer. When you know you will be exposed to the sun, make sure that your sunscreen is hypoallergenic.
