This may also lead to loss of muscle tone, besides reduction in the supportive tissue such as collagen. It leads to improper lymphatic drainage besides a choked circulatory system.

Yoga has certain poses for attacking the flab at the chin, which also massage the thyroid that is linked to your metabolic rate. Just behind the thyroid are the parathyroid glands which are linked to tissue health. Thus, besides the obvious muscular tone provided by yoga, there is also a definite impact on how well your body is able to utilize its stored fat.
All yogic practices use the neck as a major pressure point, which helps you to get rid of double chin. Have a regular yoga regimen which will help you to tone up that chin as well as your entire face and body.

Initially you have to start with only a few rounds of yoga, or hold those pose for a lesser time. Slowly, increase rounds as well as duration. Those with hyperthyroidism should get a go-ahead from their medical consultant before they begin to practice these poses as they tend to stimulate the thyroid.

Beginners may tend to feel a slight dizziness in the start. This is especially true for all those who have not exercised before, or have some other medical problem. So you need to phase out your practice, and go into it only as per capacity. Later, as you get accustomed to the yoga asanas, you will not feel that way, and also be able to get rid of double chin.
