Flex Protex Review

Flex Protex Overview

Joint pain relievers are needed even more today than ever before due to the large population of ‘baby boomers’, who wish to remain active, despite their onset of old age. Due to this growing demand there are a huge number of over-the-counter pain relievers which are available in the market. Flex Protex is just one of them.

The information for Flex Protex is quite confusing and there appear to be several different websites which are promoting this product. The apparently ‘official’ website for Flex Protex is quite detailed but it is not very user-friendly. There is no FAQ section, no customer testimonials and even though the development and testing of this product is mentioned, no actual proof has been provided. The founder of Flex Protex is a woman, Patty McPeak who is the CEO of NanaCea,which is a company that manufactures various health-related products like probiotics and energy bars. Ms. McPeak is holding the patent for the ‘Nutracea Risoluble’ formula, but she does not appear to have any kind of aprofessional background in medicine or in science. She is also featuring in the company’s infomercials. Besides, there are some negative reviews of her products available on the internet.

Flex Protects has been designed in order to maintain joint health as well as relieve minor pains and aches, instead of rebuilding and repairing existing damage. It should be taken on a daily basis as a dietary supplement.

The information on the ingredients present in the Flex Protex formula differs, as it depends on which website one is reading from. It is safe to say that the main active ingredient in the product, and one which features in most of NanaCea’s range, is the patented Nutracea Risoluble, which is a nutrient-dense but stabilized form of rice bran. This acts mainly as a delivery system for the Glucosamine present in the product which helps to strengthen as well as repair joint cartilage. Most of the websites list turmeric, yucca as well as boswellia as ingredients, while others also add the antioxidant ashwagandha, besides the digestive aid ginger, MSM as well as hyaluronic acid. These last two ingredients are particularly beneficial for joints as they tend to provide sulphur, which is essential in building protein and providing lubrication, respectively.

2 capsules of Flex Protex are to be taken twice a day and they should begin to have an effect on the joints within 1-2 weeks.

Flex Protex – The bottom line

Flex Protex is different from many other joint pain relievers as it uses rice bran as a major ingredient, even though there is no conclusive proof as to how beneficial it is in treating of joint pain. However, Flex Protex does contain Glucosamine, which is an essential component in any good joint medication and it may in fact help to relieve some of the inflammation which leads to pain as well as aching.

If one could be certain that the formula also contained hyaluronic acid, MSM and vitamins D and C, as some sites claim, Flex Protex would be a good supplement to the diet in terms of joint health.
